  1. Security and Privacy Considerations During COVID-19

Long periods of remote work like what we’re seeing now may lead to a bit of complacency and a blurring of the lines between home life and work life. That can lead to people doing things with their work computers that they normally wouldn’t or something as simple as leaving them active after work hours. While many IT people don’t believe remote workers are operating in secure environments, recent surveys suggest remote work may become permanent for as many 49% of people.  

With this in mind, the folks over at Cybersecurity Hub delved into some of the challenges that remote work poses and what companies in industries like finance need to consider as they face the cybersecurity hurdles associated with the new normal.

HR’s annual industry showcase from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has, like so many other conferences in 2020, been cancelled due to COVID-19. Luckily for pass holders to the event, their place at 2021’s event in Chicago has already been booked.
