“Tune in Tuesday” viewers will also hear an update on second chance hiring. April is Second Chance Month, proclaimed by President Joe Biden to help people with criminal backgrounds reenter society successfully. Among other actions, Biden called on employers and others to remove barriers that prevent people with criminal histories from getting jobs and to implement quality job training during incarceration.
SHRM has been a proponent of helping formerly incarcerated individuals reenter the workforce. Read below for resources and information on how to start a second chance hiring initiative in your workplace.
